Munz’s onion (Allium munzii)

Status:
Federal Endangered species, State Threatened species, California Native Plant Society, List 1B species.

Habitat:
Found on clay soils in chaparral, coastal sage scrub and grassland communities.

Range:
Riverside County (less than fifteen population known to ocurr).

Threats:
Urban development, clay mining, agriculture, grazing, competition for resources by non-native plants and off-road vehicle use.

Population at El Sobrante:
Currently, this species is not known to ocurr in the Preserve.
