Status:
No formal listings as federal or endangered, considered sensitive; El Sobrante Covered Species.

Habitat:
Coastal sage scrub and chaparral communities, woodlands, and streamsides.

Range:
Near the coast of southern California from Ventura south to western Baja California, Mexico.

Threats:
Urbanization, widespread use of insecticides, off-road vehicle use, and genetic isolation.

Population at El Sobrante:
The exact number and distribution of this species at the El Sobrante Preserve is unknown; it is faily common in the Preserve.
