Long-nosed Leopard Lizard (Gambelia wislizenii)

Status:
No federal or state listings status, El Sobrante Covered Species.

Habitat:
Arid or semi-arid plains with bunch grass, alkali bush, sagebrush, creosote bush, or other scattered low plants.

Range:
This species is common in the desert and uncommon in the Gavilan Hills and San Jacinto River areas in western Riverside County.

Threats:
Delopement, off-road vehicle use, grazing, non-native plant invasion, collecting, and fire.

Population at El Sobrante:
The exact number and distribution is unknown; it is uncommon in the Preserve.
