Waste Management provides wheeled carts for collection of your trash, recyclables, and green waste.
Trash, recycling and greenwaste are picked up every week.
What Goes In You Cart?
Trash Cart (Burgundy)
The trash cart is for household
waste that cannot be recycled.
Remember to place all refuse inside
the containers and all recyclables
and green waste in their
appropriate container.

Greenwaste Cart (Green)
- Grass / Leaves
- Tree Branches
- Plants / Weeds
- Garden Trimmings
(No: palm fronds, cactus, soil, rocks,
manure, animal waste, paper or
plastic bags)
Note: Additional carts are available for a nominal fee.
Cart Service Reminders:
Place all waste in the appropriate container
and close the lid.
All trash, recyclables, and green waste
outside the cart will not be collected.
Place your carts at the curb by 6:00 a.m. on
collection day.
Roll carts into the street and place them
against the curb, handles facing your home.
Place carts at least two feet apart from
other carts and objects.
Do not place green waste in plastic bags
Holiday Schedule
Waste collection does not occur on the following days:
New Year's Day
Memorial Day
4th of July
Labor Day
Thanksgiving Day
Christmas Day
When the holiday falls on a weekday, collection will be delayed one day for the remainder of the week. If a holiday falls on a Saturday or Sunday, there will be no delays.
Billing
Residential services are billed by Waste Management quarterly in advance. For your convenience you may
pay your invoice online at www.wm.com or you can pay over the phone for a nominal fee. Unpaid and
delinquent charges for waste collection services will be placed on resident’s property taxes annually, including
penalties and interest.
Bulky Goods & Extra Greenwaste Collection
Residents with curbside cart service may request a free bulky item pick up two (2) times a year on their
regular collection day. Advance notice is required. To schedule a free bulky item pick up, please contact
Waste Management at (800) 423-9986 at least 24 hours in advance of your regular collection day.
Additional pick ups are available for a nominal fee.
Christmas Tree Recycling
We will collect and recycle Christmas trees for the first two weeks following Christmas on your regular collection day. Trees longer than six feet must be cut in half. Please remove all tinsel, metal ornaments and metal stands from trees. Flocked trees will be collected but cannot be recycled.
Disposal of Used Motor Oil
We will collect and recycle Christmas trees for the first two weeks following Christmas on your regular
collection day. Trees taller than six feet must be cut in half. Please remove all decorations, including tinsel,
lights, ornaments, and tree stands. Flocked trees will be collected but cannot be recycled.
Electronic Waste
Electronic waste can be collected at curbside for your convenience. A fee will be charged for each item
collected. Advance notice and payment is required. Contact Waste Management at least 24 hours in
advance of your regular collection day to schedule e-waste collection.
Household Hazardous Waste
Household hazardous waste cannot be collected by Waste Management. Please call the Riverside County
Waste Management Department at (800) 304-2226 or (951) 486-3200, or you can visit them on the web at
www.rivcowm.org/hhw/hhw_schedule.html. Household hazardous waste includes: used oil filters, paint,
antifreeze, batteries, propane tanks, pesticides, household cleaners, pool chemicals, sharps/needles, and
fluorescent bulbs.
SHARPS
Residents receive one free SHARPS container per calendar year. To receive your SHARPS container please call
Waste Managements Customer Service Center at (800) 423-9986 and place your order. After you complete your
order our friendly Route Manager will deliver a new SHARPS container to your home address. Each container
comes with a pre-paid postal approved return box. When your SHARPS container is filled, box it back up, give it
to your postal service, and WM will properly recycle your used sharps. Don’t forget to call Waste Management to
get another container.
Home Composting
Waste Management will provide two home composting workshops at a location within the City each calendar year, at no charge. Residents successfully completing the workshop are eligible to receive a free composting bin for residential use.
