Picnic Celebrates New Safety Record
At the end of August, Waste Management of the Inland Empire hosted a company picnic for employees and their families. We wanted to recognize the employees for working 150,000 hours without a recordable injury.
The safety record is a testament to the diligence of our employees in identifying and avoiding potentially unsafe situations and also applying Waste Management’s safety program “Mission to Zero” (M2Z). The program is employed in all of WM’s facilities and mandates zero tolerance toward acts, conditions or behaviors that may cause unsafe conditions.
More than 300 employees and their family members enjoyed the picnic, which included a barbeque, jumpers, raffle prizes, games and activities for the children and a softball and soccer tournament.
The picnic also was a great opportunity to thank our employees for their dedication and commitment to Waste Management. Our employees are what make WM a great company and it’s important to recognize and reward everyone’s accomplishments outside of the workplace.
