City of Norco - Residential Service Guidelines

Waste Management provides wheeled carts for collection of your recyclables and greenwaste. Waste Management does not provide a cart for trash. Residents may use their own trash cans or trash bags, not to exceed a combined total of seven containers, for the collection of trash only.

Manure Service: Your own containers cannot be used for the collection of manure, and manure cannot be mixed with greenwaste or trash. A separate bin or cart for manure is required. Contact the City of Norco (951) 270-5656 for manure containers.

Note: Additional recycling and greenwaste carts are available for a nominal fee. Please contact the City of Norco to request additional carts.

Cart Service Reminders:
  • Extra bags, loose items and bundles outside the containers will not be collected. (Refer to Bulky Item Collection)
  • Place all trash and recycling containers in the street against the curbside by 6:00 a.m. on your collection day. Place Waste Management carts with handles facing your home. Place them at least two feet apart and from other objects. Do not obstruct mail boxes.
  • Do not place containers in the horse trail.
  • Separate trucks will collect trash, greenwaste, recyclables and manure.

    Holiday Schedule
    Waste collection does not occur on the following days:
  • New Year's Day
  • Memorial Day
  • 4th of July
  • Labor Day
  • Thanksgiving Day
  • Christmas Day

    When the holiday falls on a weekday, collection will be delayed one day for the remainder of the week. If a holiday falls on a Saturday or Sunday, there will be NO delays.

    Billing
    Residential services are billed by the City of Norco. Reduced rates are available to qualified seniors. Contact the city at (951) 270-5656.

    Bulky Item Collection
    Residents may request the free pickup of household bulky items three times a year. Additional bulky item collections are available at a nominal cost. To schedule a bulky item pickup, please contact Waste Management at *800) 423-9986 at least 48 hours in advance of your regular collection day.

    Temporary Bin and Roll-Off Service
    For large clean up jobs or construction type projects at your home, residents may rent a temporary “dumpster” or “roll-off” for a fee. Please contact Waste Management at (800) 423-9986 for information on sizes and rates.

    Disposal of Used Motor Oil
    Residents may place used motor oil at curbside on their regular collection day. Advance notice is required. Please contact Waste Management at (800) 423-9986 at least 24 hours in advance of your regular collection day. Contact Waste Management for a free oil container or place motor oil in a tightly closed, clear plastic container, such as a milk or water jug.

    Christmas Tree Recycling
    We will collect and recycle Christmas trees for the first two weeks following Christmas on your regular collection day. Trees taller than six feet must be cut in half. Please remove all decoration including tinsel, lights, ornaments and tree stand. Flocked trees will be collected but cannot be recycled.

    Electronic Waste (E-Waste)
    Electronic waste can be collected at curbside for your convenience. A fee of $20 will be charged for each item collected. Advance notice and payment required. Contact Waste Management at least 24 hours in advance of your regular collection day to schedule e-waste collection.     Household Hazardous Waste
