This month, Guadalupe “Lupe” celebrated 21 years with Waste Management. He started working at El Sobrante as a landscape contractor and soon after was offered a job on site as a laborer. He took the job because of the growth opportunities and soon after he was trained to operate the heavy equipment. Lupe is a heavy equipment operator; his vast experience and skills are an asset to the day-to-day operations at El Sobrante Landfill.
“Working at El Sobrante Landfill was my schooling in life and provided me with the opportunity to give my family a nice life.” said Lupe. “I am very happy doing what I do for Waste Management and enjoy my job to the fullest.”
Lupe and his wife of 26 years, Raquel, have lived in Corona for 24 years and have six children- raging from 16 to 25 years and two grandsons. In the past few years, he has focused on getting his dream vacation home built --which he helped design. The home is located in the historic town of Guanajuato, Mexico where he vacations regularly.
We congratulate Lupe for his 21 years with El Sobrante- his work ethic and experience is invaluable to our team.
