El Sobrante Landfill is a Class 3 regional disposal facility permitted to accept up to 10,000 tons per day, seven days per week. It employs approximately 40 full-time employees. Landfill operations are overseen by the California Integrated Waste Management Board, and the Riverside County Department of Environmental Health.

Community Meetings:
A series of presentations to community groups, local homeowner’s associations and various local groups will be scheduled.
For interested community members in Temescal Valley, a presentation of the Draft SEIR will be made to the Temescal Valley Municipal Advisory Council (TMAC) on Wednesday, January 7, 2009 at 7:00 p.m.
